Mokaflor Farm, the new Mokaflor project dedicated to traceable coffee for high-quality coffee shops, was born to bring people together.

Born to unite the people who grow coffee in the countries of origin — those who, with knowledge and daily dedication, gift extraordinary aromas to our cup. The goal of Mokaflor Farm is to connect those who cultivate coffee in distant tropical lands with those who, like you, know how to recognise and appreciate every nuance of this magnificent cup.

Born to bridge the coffee market, at times polarised between very low-quality coffee — the kind found in many bars where only “caffeine” is served — and extremely high-end coffee, at times incomprehensible to many customers. Mokaflor Farm finds a place in between, offering blends, pairings and a high-quality message for coffee shops that want to serve a great coffee with a story behind it, but without sharp edges, without complications, pleasant to enjoy even for those who are just beginning to discover quality coffee.

The birth of Mokaflor Farm

The Mokaflor Farm line was born as a natural evolution of our vision, which for over 70 years has been to select, roast and offer our customers only the highest quality coffee.
After becoming one of the most important references in Italy for Specialty coffee, with our online platform Caffèlab, together with the Espresso Academy team — Mokaflor’s training centre — we have developed significant expertise in green coffee selection and roasting.

Our strong presence in international markets has allowed us to observe the evolution of espresso around the world, and to understand the barista’s desire to know coffee better and to serve the highest quality to their customers.
We have combined our experience and long tradition with the personal knowledge, built over the years, of many farmers, growers and producers, who have helped us — through their coffees and the stories of their daily dedication — to build a coffee offering that truly reflects their expertise.

Traceability is an important word — it means the ability to follow the entire supply chain of a product, all the way back to the field where it was grown. At times the concept of traceability is overlooked, and far too often in the commercial coffee world, all the marketing and attention is focused on the roasting company, forgetting that it is instead from the care, the experience and the wisdom of the farmers and growers that the quality of the world’s finest coffees is born.

The fundamental part of our work as roasters is to select and roast the finest coffee beans, enhancing their organoleptic qualities to bring them to life and showcase them in your cup. Coffee travels a long journey, and with our Mokaflor Farm project, we want the credit to go above all to the people who work daily and tirelessly on the plantations.

The world of coffee is undergoing an incredible evolution. Indeed, while many bars still serve “commodity coffee” — a low-quality cup, completely devoid of story or values — on the other side, the offering of specialty coffee continues to grow.

These very high-end coffees are often extreme, highly acidic, focused on organoleptic profiles that are incomprehensible to many customers — coffees that in certain contexts achieve only one result: driving away the customer who is simply looking for “a cup of pleasure.”

Here at Mokaflor, we believe there is also a “middle ground” — a high-quality coffee, with aromas of caramel, chocolate and citrus, yet sweet, not too acidic, enveloping and fragrant.
