Great care is taken in the growing of coffee on this Carribean island, especially in the south-western region of Yauco. The Yauco Selecto beans are shelled only when they’ve been ordered in order to keep them absolutely as fresh as possible. There are also local tasting committees and one in every fifty bags is sampled by international experts. The resulting product is a delicious full-bodied coffee with a fruity aroma and a sweet aftertaste.

This coffee was tasted as espresso at 92°C with an extraction of 25 ml in 27 seconds. The average degassing of this coffee took place in 60 hours. The colour of the cream is dark brown. Its aroma is of vanilla and ananas, with a light body and a good acidity. Perfect for brewing methods such as V60 and Aeropress.
